Married Couple and Liefs Founders Thomas & Fem from Amsterdam.
At a local ranch we cultivate and curate our Conscious Comfort Cuisine while continuously developing the gardens, orchard and community into a self-sustainable farm to vegan van concept that supports the growth and spread of Liefs and the local ecologic, economic and medical health, in cooperation with local Mayan communities.

We first launched pop-ups in 2019 during festival-season in Tulum, before opening our first fixed location in 2020 on Valentine's Day, because Liefs means Love in Dutch, our native tongue.
After hurricane Harvey hit our home-town of Houston hard, when living there as corporate expats, we started seeing how small acts of kindness changed an entire community for the better. Likewise can every interaction, transaction or meal be a choice for a kinder world. That's how we conceived our vision to: 'create a kinder world, one meal at a time'.
Our concept was created following our vision to maximize animal welfare. We all know the biggest contributor to animal suffering is our current food system. That's why we quit our corporate rat-race in Houston to help make conscious eating easier and tastier.
And that's when we decided to take a leap of faith from our secure but unfulfilling corporate expat-life in Texas into adventurous food and beverage entrepreneurship in Tulum to launch Liefs:
